A museum made for you
Your personalized experience

For each visitor, Portrait Bureau creates a personal micro-exhibition: a fictional biography, a unique portrait, wall texts and labels, and a curated selection of artworks and archival documents from museum collections — imagining who they might have been in another time.

Each exhibition is built around a historical period, drawing on the public domain collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Rijksmuseum and Paris Musées, with the guidance of art historians.
